The 2011 Rocky Mountain Amateur Piano Competition

The following information is meant as a guide to your options when visiting Colorado Springs to take part in the Rocky Mountain Amateur Pianists International competition. This competition is a featured event in the annual "Summer Festival of the Arts" at Colorado College, and we're offering special rates for local accommodations during your stay.

For a low $75.00 per day (per person), you can rent an apartment with kitchen, bathroom, living room, and wifi/cable; included in this package are three meals a day at the Colorado College dining room and access to all CC facilities. The dining facility and competition hall are within walking distance from the apartments.

Other accommodation options include: A discounted per-night rate of $79.00 at the Clarion Hotel, which is about a mile from Colorado College. This rate does not include taxes and incidental charges. For reservations please call the Clarion Hotel at 1-800-477-8610 and reference the Amateur Pianists International block of rooms.

All reservations, for the Colorado College apartments or the Clarion Hotel, must be completed by July 15,2011 in order to guarantee the availability of rooms and applicable rates.

The competitor's entrance fee of $75 includes piano practice time, and performance on a beautiful Steinway D grand piano. Your fee also includes admission to all rounds of the competition, seminars, master classes, receptions and recitals featuring professional pianists.
