Antipodean Piano is a performance and commissioning initiative championing the piano art of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand—on stage, online, and around the world.
We amplify the voices of composers and pianists from the Southern Hemisphere—especially Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand—by commissioning new works, creating bold performance projects, and making these sounds accessible to diverse audiences.
Commissions & Premieres: We commission composers with strong links to Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, offering development time, workshops, and premiere performances. This cludes: new works for solo, duo, and prepared piano, elevating regional stories and aesthetics.
Present: Curated concerts and tours that frame Antipodean music within global contexts.
Share: Recordings, educational resources, and artist talks to build a living archive.
These concerts will delight audiences with something different, something welcoming and something fun from this other side of the world.
